Hershey Park is a nationally-recognized destination, and it's smaller cousin Dutch Wonderland near Lancaster is often just as busy on a summer afternoon.  For the more historically-minded, attractions such as the Strasburg Rail Road, Ephrata Cloister, Cornwall Furnace and the National Civil War Museum hold more promise.  

Central PA boasts the mightly Susquehanna River as it's crown jewel waterway, with miles upon miles of shoreline for fishing and kayaking.  Just as tempting, though, are the dozens of rivers and lakes that wind & dot the countryside, many designated as parkland and publicly accessible for fishing and boating.

Whatever your desires - to get away from the busyness of the metropolitan areas, to experience the "plain" lifestyle of the Amish, to develop lifelong relationships with friendly people, or just to make a new start, Central PA and Lancaster, Lebanon, York and Dauphin Counties are a great choice.
